Totally satisfactory.

I had planned to replace my front door lock last year as it kept jamming. At first to try and resolve the problem I disconnected the upper and lower ** bolts, which helped, but obviously reduced the level of security. I researched prices and came up with Lock Shop Direct, who had said item in stock for what I considered a very fair price. The intention was to purchase one but that was 12 months ago , and having family health issues at home it got put on the back burner. However, a couple of weeks ago the lock decided to jam up altogether. I removed the complete unit with the intention of finding the cause of the problem. It turned out to be quite extensive wear in the lock gearbox and very dry grease in the unit. I cleaned it out to the best of my ability, added fresh grease and reassembled it . Fortunately, all worked well and I was able to reinstate the lock, so our security was improved.
However, after seeing the amount of wear in the unit I decided to check whether a replacement was still available. Yes it was, and still at the same price, so I took the plunge and ordered one.
It arrived bang on the due date, delivered in a very strong cardboard tube so no risk of damage in transit.
I checked the unit and it is identical to my existing one.
I have not got round to fit it as yet but I am 100% confident that it will work perfectly.
Many thanks to Lock Shop Direct for still having the stock and not at inflated prices. Considering the lock I had was supplied some 20+ years ago it had fair wear and tear, so hopefully the new unit will perform in the same way.

The lock was an exact replacement which I was extremely pleased with.
My only comment on your website and many others that seem to have identical detail , I would like to once selecting our one was 980mm long unit to have the dimensions for the 980mm not a generic drawing which encompasses all sizes of window locks. Fortunately choosing the correct length gave a successful result.
So pleased the window will now close and lock again

Strange that my order came to 60p short for free delivery, so I added a £2 item to qualify, then the two items arrived separately so you incurred two lots of delivery, all for 60p.
