I ordered three items from UK Bathroom store in late November 2017. A heated towel rail, a shower screen and valves for the towel rail.

All three items duly arrived promptly, and to me they appeared fine. However when our builder went to install the towel rail, the wall brackets were not included so there was nothing for it to be fixed with. He then went to install the shower screen and one of the hinges/pivots was bent meaning it could not be fitted..

After emailing and speaking to customer services, I was told replacement parts were being sent direct from the suppliers and would arrive within a few days. A week, and several calls and emails later, still no sign of the items. I was assured they had spoken to the suppliers and that the items were on their way.

We were going away in early December meaning the building job had to be halted when the items still had not arrived by our departure date. I arranged for the towel rail to be sent back on our return in January as our builder had bought another one for us, and just hoped the shower screen hinge would arrive while we were away (we had discarded the packaging otherwise I'd have been sending this back as well). On our return from our holiday at the start of January the item still had not arrived.

Even sending back the towel rail proved time consuming. I was initially told I would be sent return instructions and UK Bathroom store would pay the return. After waiting 24 hours nothing had arrived so I contacted emailed them yet again, only to be told by someone else that I was to arrange the return at my own cost. More calls and emails took place. By this time I think I had called UK Bathroom Store more than 10 times since my original order. Eventually the towel rail was returned with UK Bathroom Store paying the postage.

The supplier eventually sent the replacement hinge for the shower screen (by this stage it was about 6 weeks since my original order) but when I opened the package, they had sent a hinge for a totally different product! More emails and telephone calls took place, and at this point in time I was getting extremely annoyed with the whole process.

Finally, some seven weeks after the order was placed, the correct replacement item, was delivered.

Whilst I understand that not all of the issues are caused by UK Bathroom store, the varying replies and instructions I received, as well as assurances that my problems were being dealt with when it later became apparent that they were not, meant the whole experience was terribly frustrating.

Good products, quick delivery, great service
I live in a remote area, which normally puts off other companies and my orders are frequently cancelled or subject to a huge delivery charge. HOWEVER, this was no problem at all here - items arrived well packed and even before their due date! Very happy and will definitely use again.
