Another 2026 job from me returned by Alive Studios. And another job of digitising video Hi-8 tapes I filmed around 35 years ago very well done. As for recommending Alive Studios to others, my next order for video 8 tape digitisation by them is packed and ready to go very soon!

I came across a metal cylinder containing 20 reels of cine film taken by my father over 60 years ago. They were in poor condition with clear signs of dirt and mould but I decided to research to see if they could be recovered. I choose to use Alive Studios, impressed with their prompt and comprehensive responses to my queries and the restoration services they said they could provide. My expectations given the condition of the film, confirmed by Alive Studios as extensive dirt, mould, colour fading and vinegaring", were not high. When I received the results on a Memory Stick on the agreed delivery date I was amazed at the results! Alive Studios have done a brilliant job , making the films easily watchable and bringing back long forgotten childhood memories. I have no hesitation in recommending Alive Studios and plan to use them again. Definitely worth the cost to recover irreplaceable memories.

Searched several sites and was wary of very cheap services offered as video tape of my mothers 80 th birthday was filmed in 1992 so questionable if it was still a viable project.
Lady i rang gave me very clear details of their proceedures , technical abilities and various formats.

Another excellent job done by Alive Studios - my fifth batch of video 8 and Video Hi-8 camera tapes sent this year. Completed within the advised timescale and to the same high quality as my previous four orders. I use a small, strong cardboard packing box with a 'nest' of bubble wrap and folded cardboad to send my tapes in. And it is nice to see that Alive Studios re-use all of that when returning my order by placing the box within a strong yellow plastic postal bag. Great re-cycling! Yes, on the basis of the service I am getting for my video 8 and video Hi-8 tapes I would recommend Alive Studios to others.

I do like the ordering process - it's clearly been designed by people who have ordered services online themselves! This is the second time I have used Alive Studios and, as before, I am very please with the service, The free collection and delivery is a great feature but, more importantly, the quality of the work is excellent. For the first time in decades we can view family videos that were on VHS.
