I've just sent my eleventh order this year down to Alive Studios after my tenth order arrived back. I find a commendable, high quaility consistency from the Studios about the whole process from start to finish. And that includes the all important resulting digitisations of my Hi-8 and low band video 8 camera tapes that I shot over 35 years ago.

My ninth order this year for video 8 and video Hi-8 tapes to be digitised - MPEG-4 plus Pro-Res. As always the whole process from ordering to the results arriving back was smooth and with excellent communication at each stage. And with very good results despite the 36 years since I filmed the tapes. Another order to be sent very soon.

Hi. We have viewed the edited cine films and are very happy with the much enhanced pictures. A great job.
The films and the USB arrived back just in time for us to take them on a family trip to Ireland to share with other family members. The overall lead time on the job was a long time and we were concerned that we would not get them back in time. But after a phone call and a chase via a message, it all work just in time. This order was for four Hi-8 video tapes I shot around 35 years ago. The whole process was, yet again, excellent from start to finish. Great communication throughout each stage and very good results. The work done, Mpeg-4 + ProRes, gives a result far, far better than the digitisations I had done before I found Alive Studios.

Great customer service, I was kept informed at every stage of the process. A very poor and aged video recording is now watchable again.

The process took longer than anticipated but the results are very good as I hadn’t seen the films for 70 years I was surprised by the quality although some were a bit wobbly perhaps that was due to the camera operator

Alive studios did a fantastic job restoring my family movies. I’m sure my grandfather would gave been very pleased to see them looking so good. Customer support was excellent. A couple of issues and requests were quickly resolved.
Would recommend to others looking to restore 8mm film.

If you want a 'quality' product, be it a digital scan of a cine film or upgrading of old video tapes, I can thoroughly recommend Alive Studios. I have been using them for years and have never been disappointed with the results.
