I had my parents color cine films dating from 1950 through to early 1980's digitized - brilliant , particularly the 1950 s ones they were really dirty and grainy, now so clean. Every part of the process, from first contact, through ordering - receipt of order - doing the digitisations - and sending the finished job plus my tapes back, was very well oraganised and very much appreciated. As has been the excellent results in digitising one video 8 and two video 8 camera tapes I shot in 1989 to 1991. I came across this site after asking my AI tool for the highest rated /best reviewed UK based business that could recover/clean up old VHS footage. I had a very grainy video from 2000 that was very precious to me.

After posting it out recorded delivery and saying a small prayer that everything would be ok (😂) I was both happy and relieved when I saw that the job had been completed and uploaded online (which is free for a period of 14 days), pending my receipt in the post of my new digital copy (on USB).

Bit surprised it took two months this time. Two other things: the link that takes you to track parcels takes you to dpd when in fact Royal Mail is being used; the apps to come list says that they will be available during 2024 and the one I want still isn’t available.

My main concern is the quality of the scans - these are excellent. Ordering is easy. If a problem arises with the scans, as it did on this occasion, it is quickly sorted. Used Alive Studios as needed for more than fifteen years as needed, always a good service.

The only improvement I would recommend with the order procedure is to have more communication/information after the film reels are sent in. I felt i didn't really know what was going on for several weeks, but customer service was excellent.
