Lifestyle And Heritage Company LTD is not what I expected. The Logo on their website describes the business as:

'The Boutique Department Store'
This is misleading; there is no such store in existence. This is a Mail Order Business. ***
If you google both of these addresses you will find that they are apartments.
I ordered a sheepskin jacket costing £*** after phoning their office and getting a call back reassuring me that it was in stock and readily available but would be sent to me direct from their supplier, I placed the order on Jan. 22nd 2018. My account was debited for the above amount on Jan. 23rd 2018. An email informed me that the jacket had been dispatched and would take 2/3 days. However, there was no tracking number. After finally making contact on two occasions I was assured that someone would ring me back or email me. Nothing. Incidentally, when you do make contact, the voice on the other end of the line is very soft spoken and very reassuring. Don't be fooled by this tactic. Consequently, after telling them that it was a criminal act to take moneys from my account when they clearly didn't have the goods and had no idea when I would get them, I cancelled my order and asked for a refund. Still no refund into my account.
Tuesday 30th Jan 2018 at 09.47 I received a call from *** whom I assume is their 'Trouble Shooter'. Again, a reassuring voice and you are inclined to think that he's your friend. Don't be taken in. He asked me if I could arrange for a neighbour to take the goods in if I was not at home. Still no delivery date or tracking number. Then by text message he said that the jacket that they had was flawed on the sleeve and offered me another colour with a 10% discount, or a refund. I only wanted the colour of my choice and declined and asked for the refund. Nothing. In the meantime, I had to contact my bank over a different matter and happened to mention my dealings with this company and that I was going to take them to the Small Claims Courts to recover my money. They told me that this would not be necessary as they would put me in touch with their disputes panel. The bank also told me that the company have 15 days to fulfil their order with the goods being delivered to you. The cut off point was February 7th 2018. I phoned my bank Feb. 8th 2018 and got in touch with the disputes section. Feb 9th 2018 my account was credited with £*** from my bank. Whether they got the money from this company I don't know. Anyone who has had or is having a problem with this company; get in touch with your bank - as I understand it they all have this policy.
Incidentally, the manufacturer that this company uses for their sheepskin goods is ***. Although this company is still trading it was dissolved on 09/05/2017
I would not award this company any stars, however, in order for my review to be published I have to award one.
Lifestyle and Heritage Company Thank you for your honest appraisal and I will endeavour to locate this order so I can fully investigate this. I regret that you have had so many problems and therefore must have felt uneasy about the company. I understand; a jacket is not an inexpensive item. We would not knowingly debit you without having something in stock or at least available to ship direct, as is the case with some of our leather jackets. I appreciate that being debited and not supplied is by far and away the most annoying thing to happen with an online purchase!
By all accounts the stock was very low following Christmas and what was available was not suitable to be sent out, and so an alternative was proposed. I am happy to provide information on the supplier and also our warehouse location and anything else you would like to see. I believe the supplier in question, whom you reference as dissolved, simply changed their company structure to become a PLC and therefore dissolved their previous company. I am not certain of this and will check, however. I do hope we can make contact. Your lhco.co.uk team
This is my first experience of ordering from Lifestyle Heritage Company. Initially, I thought they were professional and efficient with keeping me updated with my order stock delay for my Shepherd of Sweden slippers and how they were dealing with it. I thought their website looked professional and worth dealing with. I do believe that when the order runs smoothly that this company would be doing a really good job and deserve all the good reviews when this occurs.

Unfortunately, my order didn’t run smoothly and mistakes occurred during the order process and my experience was stressful and I would not want to go through it again. I know that mistakes occur with any company you deal with and it is how the company deals with them that sets them apart from other companies.

Unfortunately, this company were unable to handle and manage the situation with the necessary processes required to look into discrepancies and mistakes that occur and there is a lack of communication from customer support to help resolve the situation in a timely manner. I had noticed that their information on the website was incorrect and this would be part of the problem and unfortunately they have not thoroughly addressed this problem and the errors are still there.

This means future customers will be affected when they place their orders.

I was not given any apology for the inconvenience that was caused to me and no appreciation for highlighting the information problems on their website.

If you choose to order from this company, I would strongly suggest you be prepared for a lack of good customer service and support when mistakes occur and that you will have a stressful experience.

I prefer to deal with a company who will be able to deal with things when they go wrong as well as when things go right.
