The only negative was that it's very difficult to enter a promotion code. The prompt was in very small, light text and I was just about to give up and abandon my order when I noticed it.

Ordering the Lafuma was fine, but the delivery process was not so straight forward. I had no option but to collect the item from a newsagent shop about 1 mile from my home. The item was scheduled for delivery 4 days after order, but I did not get any notification of it's delivery until late on the 5th day. The notification was by way of a phone call from the newsagent, who failed to leave a message when I didn't answer. I only found out about the delivery by phoning back a 'missed call' number, which I might otherwise have ignored, but had a hunch it might be to do with the delivery. Collecting the package was not straight forward either, because the package is so large it barely fitted into my car! It took a lot of attempts to get it in. It would have been much easier if it could have been delivered to my house - or at least had the option. I work from home so it would not have been a problem for me.

I would give NO STAR if possible, I am still chasing up on a warranty claim which was initially over a year ago in Sept 6th, 2017.


Lafuma’s specialty is ignoring all communications (emails, contact form), and if and when they do eventually respond months later, I would be given excuses, lies and false promises, of which may include 'IT failure’, ‘ We have responded’, ‘ Nothing wrong with the phone’, etc. To date I have also made over 30 phone calls and only about 3 were actually answered by someone, other calls were greeted with only music and without any recorded message.

Here is a summary of my endless encounters with Lafuma:

Sept 6/2017: My initial report of the damaged Arizona Table. After 3 chasing up emails, I was finally told it will be sent in Oct 17 when it is due in stock.

Nov 2017-May 21/ 2018: Nothing arrived in Oct 2017. Numerous phone calls were made but all had been greeted by music only. 9 emails had been sent but only the 9th one received a response.

May 26 /2018: 1st replacement arrived but broken due to poor packaging.

June 18/2018: 2nd replacement arrived but again broken in the same place from improper packaging.

Jun 18- Jul 17/2018: 5 emails had been sent and none received any response. I finally phoned and was extremely surprised someone actually answered the phone.

Aug 15/2018: 3rd replacement arrived but severely damaged and again caused by improper packaging. I requested a refund and was told this is possible but can only be dealt with 1st week in Sept by another department.

Sept 12/2018: Having waited close to 3 weeks, I received no communication 1st week Sept as promised. I had to contact again and was told the credit was being processed. I now know this was just another blatant lie.

Sept 21-Oct 17/2018: Still no refund. 4 emails had been sent and none received any response, all phone call attempts were unsuccessful.


The ordering and delivery process was seamless, what else could you need, excellent! Would certainly recommend.

Very happy with purchase. Bought two picnic chairs as extra garden chairs after purchasing two garden lounges which I, and everyone else, love. They are so comfortable, lightweight and easy to store. Highly recommended.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Lafuma products. I recently purchased a Lafuma camping stool for use when I am doing voluntary conservation work, which involves lots of walking and hard physical work, so I needed a light comfortable and durable seat to use at coffee time etc. I am so pleased with my Lafuma seat , it is very well made , very light to carry and is a very classy product! I love things that function well and are very well made. 10/10

Excellent customer service. Very prompt delivery of replacement chair covers. Previous covers have lasted 12 years. Hopefully the new covers will last as long. Quality of the garden furniture is superb.
