Overall, I very much enjoyed the product. For a foreigner, it is a very easy way to travel around the country. However, some small suggestions are:
-The process to exchange your voucher for a physical JR pass often takes (by Dutch standards) quite long. I think I had to wait arond 40 minutes in a line to collect my JR pass in Tokyo.
-It is quite frightening to have a single paper ticket, being worth hundreds of euros. If it is lost or stolen, there is no way to recover the ticket, as far as I am aware. Therefore, I would like it more if the product were e.g. digital. This could also remove the need for going to a physical office to reserve seats for train rides.
-Sometimes, especially within big cities, it was not always clear which lines are possible to take with JR and for which the Suica is needed. Maybe, a supporting app or something similar could make this clearer to tourists, so they make optimal use of the JR pass.
However, overall I really enjoyed the service standard and comfort of Japanese trains. These are merely small suggestions to continue to improve your incredible standard. I would definitely recommend the JR pass to friends and family if they went on a holiday to Japan!
