We decided to purchase your product as you advertised your products were British made. I assume the product that we bought is however there is no marking on the product to this effect. Can you please advise origin.

The excellent website gave me all the information on types of mirror, the different sizes, and the installation drawings so I was very confident that I had picked the right mirror.
Delivery arrived on the promised day in very protective packaging. I strongly recommend South West Lighting Ltd both for their excellent range and level of service.

I don’t usually leave feedbacks, even more so negative ones, but my experience with Illuminated Mirrors wasn’t good. I never received the mirror, ordered it on June 15th with delivery planned date June 17th. This was delayed and postponed to July 9th without any big explanation. Then the mirror was apparently damaged in transit and sent back to the company directly, I’ve never seen the mirror. New delivery date August 3rd but despite emailing with a very nice person whose fault it wasn’t, they couldn’t give me an exact delivery date nor explain what the problem was. Apparently there was a missing piece but I couldn’t believe that they wouldn’t expedite my order knowing I should have received it two months before. And my order wasn’t speciall », it was a normal mirror, certainly every other client would be affected, which I couldn’t really believe. There was no effort made to speed up the process and I lost faith that I would ever receive the mirror. So on August 15th or so I asked to cancel the order and refund me, which worked surprisingly well and quickly. I ordered a mirror from light mirrors the next day and got it 2 business days later. I wished I had done that before, the mirror was cheaper and is perfect. I don’t like it when people give feedback on the experience rather than the product, but in my case I really found the experience so frustrating and I don’t want anyone to go through the same.

Very pleased with the mirror from Illuminated mirrors so decided to buy a much bigger one - with the same demister, shaver socket, backlit functions which looks great! The 10 year guarantee is really reassuring too.

Ordered a mirror costing over £***based on the delivery lead times advertised at point of sale. These showed the item would be with me in 2 working days every time I viewed online. At the point of purchase, it actually showed next day, but I took that with a pinch of salt. The next day I received an email saying the lead times were wrong, and gave me a delivery date of 1 week thereafter.

Their "explanation" was as follows

"Due to a technical glitch on our website affecting the delivery-date calculation, your order was received without the correct delivery information showing at the time.
I can now confirm that your delivery is scheduled for 24 June 2026."

On receiving that email, I went to their website to see what the published delivery date was if I ordered the same item that day as a new customer. It gave me a delivery date of 22nd June not the 24th with no warning that the date is wrong.

As a company selling online, if you have a known technical glitch giving incorrect information to customers (and upon which they make their purchasing decisions), then fix it. It isn't difficult.

At this point I'm committed and have pushed my electrician back to install in line with what they now tell me is the scheduled delivery date (allowing a couple of days grace).

Next contact from them is the 23rd June when they write to tell me that "Due to exceptionally high demand for our popular items, our production team is experiencing temporary constraints, which has caused a slight delay in dispatching your order."

According to them, the "The good news is that your item is already scheduled in our production plan and is moving into its final stages. We’ve scheduled dispatch no later than Friday, 10-Jul‑2026"

On the 1st July, I then get another email to let me know that they can't produce the mirror ordered " as the shaver sockets required for this model are currently out of stock."

They then offer me two options - wait even longer until the sockets come in to stock (7th July expected) or pick an alternate mirror. The alternate mirror being smaller - if i'd wanted a smaller mirror i'd have ordered a smaller one.

I asked if they could produce the mirror without the shaver socket to expedite, as to be honest I'd not even realised it had that feature and didn't need it.

Fast forward to the 7th July and I get notification the item has been dispated.

I rebook my electrician to install - the earliest he can come is the following week. The item is stored where it was delivered, in its packaging because my home is a building site.

This experience goes from bad to worse.

The mirror which has remained in its original packaging since delivery because I do not have space to store and unpacked and highly breakable item, safely.

The mirror sports a huge chip in the back of the mirror, some sort of glue all over the front and a £***piece of unsightly mirror that can't be used. I send them pictures of the chip, the corresponding corner of the packaging (which you can see some sort of green mark indicating its been pressed against something in that area and the internal "frame" has failed) asking them what can be done.

Their response. NOTHING. The mirror was installed (because I had no choice, i'd had two failed electrician bookings due the ongoing delays) and it was clear as day from the packaging that it had failed. I understand the T&Cs state somewhere in there that you have 30 days to inspect blah blah blah and I missed that not to install. A month on from something that should have been delivered the next day I needed something on the wall that wasnt a hole with electrical wire poking out.

So yes, I messed up after a month of being ran around, and yes they are off the hook and i have a piece of junk on the wall that needs to go in the skip - but that's MY fault.

Perhaps I'd have been more on the ball if they had advertised correctly, not lead me up the garden path gave ever changing delivery dates and ever changing "reasons" for delay.

Oh and the resolution for the glue that was all over the mirror? They would send me out "special steel wool" - erm, no thanks. I'm not going to DIY fix a £***mirror that has arrived covered in glue. On what planet is that even reasonable?

Let me be clear that I take no pleasure in writing this review. I just feel horribly let down, and this isn't just about the break - its about what I see as dishonest communication, false claims made at point of sale, and ever moving goal posts with no real accountablity.

Quick delivery and product exactly as expected.

Package & Dispatch one of the strongest points.
Lighting - Nice and discrete
Mirror Look - Nice and Crisp
Mounting to wall- The weakest point. Not suit for an expensive and otherwise nice mirror. Slotted mounting is for cheaper products where alignment and positive mounting are secondary thought. Very difficult to get a good mounting
Electric to wire - No box to protect connection therefore exposed to the bathroom moisture. Another weak point

Need to address the electric connection and wall mount. As a result I can't recommend. Also need to be open to feedback from customers. Humble admission to a bad design is strength

Beautiful mirror, helpful customer service. There was an issue with delivery on the curriers side and the illuminated mirrors team stepped in right away and helped to sort it out. Pleased with both the product and the service.
