The reason for my 5 stars is:
1. My illuminated morror is beautiful, solid/good quality and seems to work well
2. This company can be trusted to put things right, without making a fuss or being awkward, when things don't go to plan, such as delivery issues. They are what I call a 'decent' company who probably train their staff in customer service skills.

We have purchased two mirrors and one cabinet from Illuminated Mirrors.
The main problems we suffered were logistical, with all products being delayed relative to initial delivery dates. One product arrived broken adding further delays. We were told that the replacement would be shipped with better packaging, but it wasn't.
We asked to avoid a particularly delivery window, but the product was given to the courier for delivery during the window leaving us to contact the courier to delay the delivery.

Regarding the product, the mirrors are good and the LED lighting very effective. The demister pads works nicely, if taking a little while to clear the entire mirror.
However, it is confusing why the required clearance to the IR sensor given in the drawings is 150mm when the sensor range is nearer 50mm.
Also, drawings for one of our products that suggested the IR sensor was on the left of the edge of the mirror were mis-leading as the sensor was on the right. We attempted to clarify the position of the sensor by email before ordering, but after a number of attempts, we gave up as we kept getting a blanket answer of 150mm clearance, wheras what we were interested in was whether a charger cable would reach the place we wanted to stand it.

Company were helpful with my need to return an item due to ordering the wrong thing ( I found their web-site confusing). They arranged and paid for the collection of the wrong item whilst I ordered a replacement. I received quick and communicative support from *** in their customer services dept.
Item itself is as described and seems to be of good quaility. It arrived with no instructions and the specifications on the company web site give the wrong dimensions for the wall-mounting points, which was a nuisance because I'd already drilled, plugged and fitted mounting screws. I had to re-do all this measuring and drilling work.
However, I feel confident this is a reputable company, making a good product and providing good back-up. Also good to know that they are manufacturing in the UK, so it's definately worth supporting a business like this that provides employment.
Not the cheapest, but as we all learn, in life you get what you pay for, buy cheap, buy twice.

delay after delay after delay. When the supplier eventually sent the mirror, DX did not deliver. DX knocked the door and did not even wait for the door to be answered. Simply turned round and left. I still do not have my mirror. What a waste of time. Why one star? Because zero star is not possible. AVOID
