Because I was hospitalised shortly after making the claim followed by a long time in a nursing home, I was not in a position to process the claim and the people handling the claim were patient and understanding. Also as I had not had a claim for over 11 years, Allianz personnel most likely accepted that my claim was genuine and allowed for a time lapse due to my health issues
