I was happy overall and I have reccomended Allianz to numerous people. In the claims process however - there did seem to be lags in communication. I dont know if this was on Allianz side or Axa but I felt that for such a straight forward and small claim that things were taking a tad too long. I was also warned by 2 people whom I know in the car insurance industry one evening that I had to 'keep on top of Allianz claims' as they can be 'a bit slow'. This conversation came a s a result of me raising said issue. As regards a Claims representative - well they were all lovely. But to not I didnt really have a dedicated one. And on 2 phone calls it was apparent that Allianz had communique from the other side which I was not made aware of. There was also the noting of the accident twice on my policy so when the case was closed and my No Claims was put back one of the lines still stated under Section 4 Accidents and Claim History under SETTLED one box still indicated No. Overall I am very happy with Allianz make no mistake about that. Indeed one would like to never have to complete such surveys after a claim at all. On the Expats website I have always given a nod to Allianz for returnees and will continue to do so - so dont see this response as anything other that a few pointers which may assist your operations in the future

I was not fully satisfied with the service of the Allianz representatives, as i was the one phoning/chasing them all the time for updates. I never received a call from Allianz giving me an update on the status of my car. On the afternoon my car was damaged the Allianz rep said she would phone me back to let me know when my car was going to be towed. However i did not get this call and had to phone them for updates. My car did not get collected until the next day. I also had to keep phoning the garage to find out the status of the damage to my car - i never received any calls from them or Allianz with updates. I felt the communication could have been much better from Allianz during this experience.

I find it absolutely appalling that a report of an accident, not caused by me, in October 2018 and settled direct by the third party without any recourse to Allianz, was recorded on my file as "claim pending" despite correspondence to the contrary. This only came to light in conversation with *** who was handling an application for motor insurance from my wife on 18th November 2021 but was declined due to what he discovered but without my knowledge. An explanation and apology is most certainly required from Allianz.
