I want to have this investigated by the ombudsman and have requested all information, records and calls on this claim as a matter of urgency. It appears, after two calls with agents providing two different accounts, that despite a quotation received from the claimant, the adjuster proceeded to settle, with no communication to insured, for more than double the original quotation from claimant. Last conversation with adjuster was he thought original quotation was excessive confirming he expected it to be under €*** and I would have an opportunity to decide to pay directly and to keep my two years no claims bonus in tact, which did not happened either.
